Big wheeled monkey bike; project bike; what
you see is what you get
A delightfully scruffy survivor from the heyday
of small-wheel mischief, this big-wheeled monkey bike hails from the
1970s and comes fitted with a Honda engine of the period. Recently liberated
from long-term garage storage, it presents
exactly as a proper find should: dusty, honest, unpretentious and very much
“what you see is what you
get.”
These chunky-tyred mini-machines were built for simple fun
rather than serious transport, and this example appears to retain much of its
original character. The frame, wheels and engine all look to be present. It is
offered in non-running condition and will require
full recommissioning before any attempt at revival.
It represents an appealing and
straightforward project, whether destined for restoration, display, or simply to
be enjoyed as a nostalgic talking point.
Offered strictly as seen, with no promises
beyond its undeniable character.
