The odometer
currently displays 101,911 miles; 21 previous MOT certificates; MOT valid until
February 2027; eight service stamps
The
Volkswagen Golf Mk3 is now firmly established as a modern classic, combining the
understated styling, solid build quality and everyday usability that have long
been associated with the Golf name.
This 1996
Golf SE five-door is finished in Burgundy Red with a black cloth interior and is
powered by the 1,781cc petrol engine coupled to a five-speed manual gearbox.
First registered in August 1996, it has had five former keepers and has been in
the current ownership since July 2020. The odometer currently displays 101,911
miles.
The car is accompanied by a large history
file containing 21 previous MOT certificates, eight service stamps, the original
handbook and brochure, together with the original invoice and further
documentation showing work carried out over the years.
It is offered with an MOT valid until February 2027. The vendor drove
the Golf to the sale and reports that it starts, runs, drives and stops as
expected, as demonstrated during its time on site for photography and
filming.
The bodywork would benefit from some
tidying and there is some minor trim work to attend to, with the sill trim
currently missing, although this is present with the car.
An increasingly rare sight on today's roads, this honest Mk3 Golf SE
offers an appealing opportunity to acquire a practical and increasingly
collectible 1990s Volkswagen with a substantial history
file.
