Deceased estate; off the
road for many years; looks to be very original; 29,374 miles currently showing
on the speedometer but this cannot be verified; great restoration project
The Saab 96 is a true motoring
icon, renowned for its distinctive styling, rally heritage and robust
engineering. Early examples have become increasingly desirable, particularly
original cars offering an excellent basis for
restoration.
Registered as FVJ 470D, this
Saab 96 project has been off the road for many years and is therefore no longer
recognised on the DVLA database. It will require re-registration and a new V5C
to be applied for before it can return to the road. The car comes from a
deceased estate with very little accompanying history or
paperwork.
Offered as a non-runner, the
Saab appears to be a largely complete and original example, presenting an
excellent opportunity for an enthusiast to restore a charismatic and
increasingly collectible classic. With its distinctive character and strong
following, this 96 represents a rewarding project for its next
custodian.
