Few classic cars are as universally loved as the
Morris Minor. Simple, dependable and full of character, the Minor became one of
Britain's most successful family cars and remains a firm favourite among
enthusiasts thanks to its practicality, charming styling and excellent parts
support.
First registered in August 1967, this very pretty Morris Minor
Deluxe Saloon is finished in light grey, a colour that suits the car's elegant
lines particularly well. Powered by the desirable 1,098cc A-Series engine, it
offers relaxed and enjoyable classic motoring, backed by one of the most
respected drivetrains of its era.
Showing 73,800 miles, this evidently
much-loved example was driven some 45 miles to the sale and has been starting
and driving beautifully during its time with us for photography and video
purposes, giving every indication of being a well-sorted and regularly enjoyed
car.
The car benefits from an extensive history file and has been the
subject of substantial expenditure over the years. Restoration and maintenance
work carried out by the current and previous owners includes an engine rebuild,
gearbox rebuild, new cooling system, ignition system overhaul, replacement
starter motor, alternator conversion and a comprehensive brake system
refurbishment including drums, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, brake pipes and
the addition of a servo.
Further improvements include reconditioned rear
shock absorbers, a stainless-steel exhaust system, replacement front and rear
wings and associated welding to the inner wing structures where required. The
car has also been wax-oiled on numerous occasions, demonstrating a proactive
approach to preservation.
Inside, the Morris benefits from a set of fully
adjustable Fiat 500 seats for improved comfort on longer journeys, although
pleasingly the original seats are included within the sale. Additional practical
upgrades include a high-level brake light, HDMI charging point and a dash
camera.

includes the V5C, no fewer than 31 previous MOT certificates, eight service
stamps, a Haynes workshop manual and a very comprehensive folder of invoices
documenting thousands of pounds worth of restoration, maintenance and
improvement works carried out over many years. Few Morris Minors can boast such
an extensive paper trail, which helps illustrate the care and investment the car
has received throughout its life.
