Seemingly very stock example with only one owner from new; full
service history with 7 stamps, last serviced just over 400 miles ago; MOT until
January 2027; an increasingly rare find in a highly modified market; showing
113,927 miles
The Honda Civic Type R EP3 has firmly
earned its place as one of the most iconic hot hatches of the modern era.
Powered by Honda’s celebrated 2.0-litre i-VTEC engine and renowned for its sharp
handling and engaging driving experience, it remains a favourite among
enthusiasts more than 20 years after its launch. With many examples having been
modified or heavily used over the years, finding a low-owner, well-preserved and
unmolested EP3 has become increasingly difficult.
This particular Type R, finished in the desirable Nighthawk Black
Pearl, has incredibly had just one owner from new and remains a remarkably
original, unmodified example – a rare find indeed.
Furthermore, the car is accompanied by a comprehensive service
history, including several service stamps, numerous from Honda main dealers. It
was most recently serviced in June this year and has covered little more than
400 miles since. As part of that service, the car received fresh oil, filters
and an engine flush, while invoices on file show the fitment of four new tyres
earlier in the year.
Additional invoices document
routine maintenance and replacement consumables throughout its life, while the
presence of the original ‘Supagard’ paint protection documentation further
suggests this EP3 has been cherished throughout its 22-year
ownership.
The exterior remains smart throughout,
free from any major dents and in line with a maintained 22-year-old vehicle with
the same mileage. Adding to its authenticity, the car still proudly wears
its original supplying dealer plates and stickers.
The iconic Enkei alloy wheels also present well, complementing the
car's overall condition, although a refurbishment could further enhance their
appearance if desired.
Inside, the cabin remains
completely standard and appears well preserved, displaying only the light wear
one would expect for a vehicle of this age and mileage showing as
113,927.
Driving as one would expect of the breed
during photography and filming, and accompanied by its original owner's manuals,
PDI report and service book, this EP3 Type R represents a genuinely rare
opportunity. In a market where so many examples have been modified, abused or
simply lost to time, finding a one-owner, highly original car is becoming
increasingly difficult. A strong example of Honda's iconic hot hatch and surely
one not to let get away.
