Freshly serviced with a
fresh MOT; spoked wheels with BEHR polished rims; GIVI rack; Oxford heated
grips; showing only 36,270 miles
First registered in September
2000, this BMW F650 GS is finished in yellow and showing 36,270 miles with the
current valid till May 2027. A popular and versatile single-cylinder adventure
model, it has recently been serviced by the vendor, who fitted a new MB12U AGM
battery, air and oil filters, Castrol oil, an iridium spark plug. Recently
a pair of Metzeler Tourance tyres and an O-ring
chain have been fitted, adding to its mechanical readiness. The bike
is equipped with a Givi rear rack and heated grips for added practicality and
comes with three keys. It has been starting and running on site for the
photographs and video.
Launched in the
mid-1990s, the BMW F650
series marked the company’s return to
single-cylinder machines
and quickly earned a reputation for reliability, economy and
all-round usability.
The later GS variant, as seen here, added longer-travel suspension,
revised ergonomics and a more rugged stance, making it a popular choice for
commuting, touring and light adventure use. Its manageable weight and proven
Rotax-built engine helped
establish it as one of BMW’s most successful
entry-level adventure
bikes, with many examples covering high mileages with
ease.
This example also looks
particularly smart on its BEHR spoked wheels with polished rims, a
combination that suits the GS’s purposeful styling and adds a touch of classic
BMW adventure-bike
appeal.
The history file is pleasingly
comprehensive, including 17 old MOT certificates, rider’s manual, service book
and technical booklet, providing a useful record of its life and maintenance
over the years.
A well-presented example
of BMW’s dependable F650 GS, offered with a
fresh service, new tyres, spoked wheels with polished rims, Oxford heated grips
and a GIVI rack ready for adventure or your commute.
