Description

V12 Engine; 43,000 miles from new; great service history; 6 previous keepers; good specification

First registered on 1st March 2006, this 2006 Aston Martin DB9 Volante is presented in timeless Jet Black with a cream leather interior and black canvas soft top, a combination that perfectly complements the elegant lines of one of Aston Martin’s most celebrated grand tourers.

Constructed with an all-aluminium body and powered by the marque’s renowned 5.9-litre naturally aspirated V12, the DB9 produces 450bhp and is capable of accelerating from 0–60mph in under five seconds. The power delivery is characteristically smooth and refined, providing effortless performance alongside the grand touring comfort for which Aston Martin is known. Early DB9 Volante models such as this offer a blend of style, presence and open-top motoring that remains difficult to rival at this level.

This example has covered approximately 43,000 miles from new and is offered with a current MOT valid until August 2026. The car is supplied with its original book pack together with an extensive service history comprising both Aston Martin main dealer and highly regarded independent specialist maintenance.

The service record begins with the supplying dealer, Stratstone Stoneygate, at 56 miles, followed by further entries at 1,379 miles, 7,951 miles, 13,845 miles, 23,991 miles, 27,332 miles, 28,722 miles, 30,142 miles, 31,438 miles, 32,695 miles, 33,595 miles, 35,104 miles, 36,508 miles, 36,790 miles, 37,389 miles, 37,916 miles, 38,210 miles and 38,375 miles. The most recent service was carried out in August 2025, and there are a total of 19 stamps recorded in the service book.

The previous owner retained the vehicle for the last 12 years, ensuring it was serviced annually while keeping the mileage extremely low through only occasional use. The current vendor has continued this careful ownership pattern.

The DB9 Volante offers an impressive level of standard specification, including satellite navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, power-fold mirrors, reversing sensors, a boot-mounted umbrella, heated front seats, additional interior wood detailing, a Linn premium stereo system, cruise control and tyre pressure monitoring, among other features.

This particular example also benefits from the desirable Sport Pack twin-spoke alloy wheels, which in our opinion significantly enhance the car’s overall appearance when compared with the standard DB9 wheel design.

Overall, the vehicle presents in generally sound order throughout, although there are cosmetic imperfections consistent with age and use. Various light scratches are present across the bodywork, many of which could likely be improved with paint correction or polishing, while a small number of scuffs and marks would require paintwork to achieve a perfect finish.

As is common with aluminium-bodied Aston Martins of this era, the car shows some signs of minor aluminium corrosion in places, including areas around the bonnet edge, door handles and some small areas of micro-blistering. These are typical age-related characteristics and do not detract significantly from the overall visual appeal or enjoyment of the car.

The vehicle was driven over 80 miles to our site without issue and has since been started, run and moved during photography and video preparation, performing exactly as expected from a well-maintained example of this iconic V12 convertible. It also includes an advisory free MOT until August 2026.
