Tidy, well presented facelift supercharged 2.0-litre example with a nice spec showing just 70,205 miles

Dating from December 2002 this tidy, face-lift example of the Mercedes R170 series SLK comes to us finished in Brilliant Silver and sits upon its original 16” six-spoke polished alloy wheels complete with decent Avon rubber.

Under the bonnet, we find the supercharged 2.0-litre M111.958 four-cylinder petrol engine which develops a useful 161bhp and surprising 230NM of torque driving the rear wheels via five-speed 5G-automatic/tiptronic transmission enabling this neat little roadster to hit 60mph in just 8.2 seconds.

Inside, we find a black leather interior with manual seat adjustment, polished aluminium trim, dual zone climate control with AC, aftermarket JVC radio/CD player, stability control, electric windows, electric mirrors, electric folding hardtop and cruise control/speed limit function.

The car shows just 70,205 miles and presents well with only minor marks to the driver’s seat as a result of its age/miles/usage and few, if any marks to the body.  An owner at some point has opted to protect the door edges with neat plastic trim (removable) and also fitted black rubber wheel arch lips too.

The history file includes the V5C revealing six former keepers to our vendor, the owner’s pack and (duplicate) service book showing five stamps plus two further earlier hand-written entries.  The last stamped service was in April 2019 at 65,327 miles by R.S Car Care of Bridgnorth.

In addition, we also find a selection of bills for maintenance along with four old MOTs, plus the current MOT, valid until April 2023 recording just one minor advisory for a NSF tyre.
