1998 Jaguar XK8 Coupe (X100)

No Reserve

Only three recorded keepers including our vendor; showing 106,400 miles; recorded servicing every year until 2010 until being put into storage in c.2015; very little use since; rare Amaranth paint colour

This XK8 is no show pony but is offered here with no reserve. It runs, drives and is presented in the very rare shade of Amaranth purple with the standard ivory trim inside.

Owned locally all its life, this Jaguar has lived just outside Ludlow, Shropshire since at least 2000. The second owner had the car from 2000 until 2012 and used it regularly, having it serviced by main Jaguar dealers in Birmingham/Worcester every year until 2009/10 when maintenance was passed on to a more local garage.

It was acquired by our vendor in 2012 when it had covered approx. 99,000 miles and has only covered 7,000 miles or so since. Suffering from the usual corrosion issues every year, the annual MOT always proved a challenge by the look of the records, but in 2015, it passed with only an advisory relating to the fuel pipes being corroded. Since then it has been in storage, only covering another 500 miles so, as is evident in the photos, it will be needing a good once over to get back on the road safely.

We have driven the car here and it starts without any help, but mechanically we feel it will need some tuning to make that engine sound as good as it should.

No reserve, highest bid will buy it – Pomeroy Trophy anyone?
