1996 Jaguar XK8 (X100)

Attractive earlier 4.0 coupe in desirable Antigua Blue with black leather trim and Harmon Kardon sound system; looking very smart indeed

Supplied new in October 1996 this earlier X100 series XK8 coupe hails from the first year of production and still looks striking today, some 24 years later; the sleek lines and powerful presence still turns heads.

Finished in Antigua Blue with warm charcoal interior the car looks to have been well optioned when new with electric heated memory seats, walnut dash with half timbered steering wheel, Valet mode, radio cassette with CD changer, sports mode for the 5-speed automatic gearbox, cruise control, digital climate control with A/C, heated front screen, manual headlamp leveling, headlamp powerwash, SuperSport suspension, Harmon Kardon sound system and 18inch 7-spoke 'Flute' alloy wheels.

The car presents well without the usual bubbling to the rear arches, appearing clean throughout, the interior also being clean, tidy and welcoming without any obvious signs of wear, nor is the headlining sagging as is also often the case.

Within the history file, we find the V5C showing a total of 8 former keepers, the current since June 2020, owner's pack with manuals and service booklet showing an impressive 13 stamps plus 2 for anti corrosion checks. The last stamped service in the book was by Paramount Jaguar of Cardiff in April 2006 at 100,006 miles with all previous stamps by Jaguar main dealers.  

In addition, the file includes 14 old MOTs dating back to March 2002 at 74,543 miles - the car evidently covering the bulk of its 105,873 miles in its earlier years - the MOT history revealing little more than 1,500 miles have been covered since 2011. There are also invoices for parts purchased, and minor works carried out, plus two previous purchase invoices dated May 2004 for £16,500 at 95,000 miles and May 2003 at 84,023 miles for £19,995 from Evans Halshaw Jaguar of  Stoke-on-Trent. 

The XK8 comes with a current MOT valid until December 2021 with no advisories recorded and looks very tempting at the enticing estimate.
