6.1-Litre Hemi V8 with 425+ brake horsepower; showing just 57,506
miles with 14-stamp service history; numerous performance upgrades; for mild
recommissioning
Introduced in 2005, the Chrysler
300C SRT-8 brought traditional American V8 performance to a large luxury saloon.
Developed by Chrysler’s Street and Racing Technology division, it combined the
distinctive 300C styling with a 6.1-litre HEMI V8 producing 425bhp, driving the
rear wheels through a five-speed automatic gearbox.
First registered in 2007, this striking example has covered a
respectable 57,506 miles and benefits from an impressive 14-stamp service
history and accompanying paper file.
The invoices
include replacement front and rear brake pads, oil filters, lambda sensors, a
new battery, thermostat and an interim service, to name but a few. Curiously,
paperwork is also present for an ‘INTUNE’ vehicle ECU tuning kit, suggesting the
car may produce more power than standard.
This
theme continues under the bonnet, where an aftermarket carbon-fibre cold air
intake and chromed strut brace can be found. Whilst no supporting paperwork is
present, it is believed that the exhaust, or at least part of it, is aftermarket
and certainly produces the suitably raucous sound one would expect from a V8
muscle car.
Overall, the car presents in smart
condition, with only the minor wear and tear inside and out expected of a car of
this age and mileage.
The car’s last MOT expired
in June 2022, with three advisories recorded at the previous test at around
4,000 miles ago, suggesting little has changed since. Nonetheless, the car has
started and run around site for photography and video without issue. It is
therefore offered without a valid MOT, with bidders advised that some
recommissioning work may be required before returning it to regular road
use.
In summary, a competitively guided modern
American muscle car project, combining strong service history with imposing
looks, a potent V8 and some interesting aftermarket
upgrades.
